Background: The placement of a urinary catheter is the single most important predisposing factor for Catheter-associated Urinary Tract Infections, which causes significant morbidity in hospitalized patients, including pain, fever, and malaise. tract infections are responsible around 13,000 fatalities each year. Infections complications lead to an increase length stay, patient higher healthcare expenses, death. second frequent illness after respiratory infections. This has impact on patients' health outcomes periods hospital stay. aim this study improve nurses' practices by involving them interventional program assessing regarding preventing male catheter-associated Methods: A pre-experimental design had been applied with use one group pre-test/post-test samples 45 nurses assess nursing staff's toward prevention indwelling infection Al-Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital. reliability questionnaire was achieved through pilot then presented experts prove its validity. total number items included 15 distributed two domains observational checklist practices. data collected using semi-structured interview analyzed application descriptive inferential statistical analysis approach. Results: there were highly differences between pre post-program at p<0.001for nurse’s about staff practice insertion catheterization follow up Indwelling Catheter-Associated Pre Post Program. And results showed no correlation knowledge nurse's age years experience p-value ˃ 0.05.
